Want to make your body burn fat AND build muscle?
Of course you do. If your answer were anything other than “HELL yes”, you wouldn’t be reading this.
Our body naturally produces a substance that, believe it or not, can do both.
It’s called growth hormone - and there’s new scientific research that sheds light on how we can boost our growth hormone without using illegal or dangerous drugs.
Point #1 - What is growth hormone and why should I care?
Growth hormone is a naturally-occurring hormone produced by the pituitary gland. Growth hormone binds to specific targets throughout the body - including muscle, where it stimulates growth (GAINZ!), cell reproduction (GAINZ!), and cell regeneration (GIVE ME ALL THE GAINZ!).
For athletes, our primary interest in growth hormone lies in its ability to increase lean muscle mass.
In fact, many of the benefits from weightlifting - such as increased muscle mass, increased strength, and decreased body fat - are thought to be influenced by exercise-induced increases in growth hormone.
You see, growth hormone is typically secreted in a pulsatile fashion based on circadian rhythms - but, we can also induce growth hormone secretion through physiological stimuli; primarily, exercise and sleep.
And, thanks to recent scientific findings, we now know there’s a compound that can further help increase growth hormone levels..
Point #2 - What effect does Alpha-GPC have on growth hormone and why should I care?
L-alpha glycerylphosphorylcholine - Alpha-GPC for short - is a natural compound found in the brain. Alpha-GPC donates choline - a precursor for acetylcholine, which is a neurotransmitter crucial for important body processes - like lifting heavy weights and running fast.
A study by Ziegenfuss, et al examined the effects of alpha-GPC on serum growth hormone levels.
Seven men - who were, on average, 30 years old, 190 pounds, 18% body fat, with at least two years of resistance training - ingested either 600 mg alpha-GPC or placebo. 90 minutes later, they completed 6 sets of 10 reps on smith machine squats, using 70% of their predetermined 1 rep max.
Compared to baseline, peak growth hormone increased 44-fold in men receiving alpha-GPC, vs. just a 2.6-fold increase in the placebo group.
Another study by Kawamura, et al examined the effects of alpha-GPC on growth hormone in 8 healthy young males. Each participant ingested 1000 mg alpha-GPC; serum growth hormone was measured 60 and 120 minutes after administration.
The researchers found that significant increases in plasma growth hormone in the alpha-GPC group, compared to no significant change in the placebo group.
Point #3 - How much alpha-GPC do I need and where do I get it?
So, we’ve established that alpha-GPC increases growth hormone - a good thing for athletes.
As if that weren’t enough, it also increases power output - by up to 14% (!).
In case the importance of that wasn’t clear - do you know how jacked you’d be if your bench press or deadlift jumped by 14%? 14% takes a 225-pound bench press to 255 pounds!
Imagine increasing your lifts, across the board, by 14%. Remember all those sweet, sweet newbie gains we never take full advantage of? THIS IS YOUR SECOND CHANCE.
I guess what I’m saying is, if you’re not already taking alpha-GPC - YOU ARE MISSING OUT.
Let’s fix that!
For increasing power output and serum growth hormone, you’ll want to ingest 600 mg alpha-GPC 45 - 90 minutes before your workout.
While you can buy alpha-GPC alone - why not take it along with other ingredients proven to give you more energy and strength in the gym?
We pack 600 mg of alpha-GPC into every serving of Focal Force - along with L-citrulline, beta alanine, and a host of other ingredients backed by science.
